How to travel SLOW?
1. Choose dates.
For holidays away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the best in Wisła is spring and autumn, outside the weekends. Such time allows you to relax in silence and without crowds.
2. Choose a place to stay.
Choose places outside the city center as well as places that allow you to have contact with nature - with a garden, access to the river, located close to the forest and trails. It is important that these places are intimate and built with respect for the environment - partly or entirely from renewable resources such as wood.
3. Taste local food.
Look for places where you can eat good-quality home-made products, the so-called 'Slow food'. Try different dishes in local restaurants - this is also how you go on a SLOW journey - into the world of regional flavors.
4. Buy the handicraft.
During your SLOW journey, visit art galleries and small museums. Support local artists by buying their handmade items and souvenirs. Such souvenirs are part of the history and culture of the region as they are made by its inhabitants. Above all, however, they are unique.
5. Walk, observe and discover.
SLOW journeys are also about wandering and discovering. Through physical activity, our body and mind relaxes. Traveling SLOW is not "completing" any list of tourist attractions or mountain peaks - it does not matter how many kilometers you walk or what mountain names you reach - it is important to travel, relax, be here and now.
