At the end of the sixties, it was decided to stack the waters of both Biała i Czarna Wisełka, so that the resulting reservoir was a reserve of drinking water for more and more holiday resorts. The construction of the dam lasted 5 years. In 1973, the first filling of the tank took place. Currently, the dam is 30 m high, the area of the reservoir is 30 ha and its capacity is 4.941.000 m3.
