In the years 1929 - 31, the present castle, and the then residence for the Presidents of Poland was erected from the contributions of the society of Silesia. Later, it was transferred with the honorary citizenship of the Vistula to President Ignacy Mościcki. The designer of the building, an outstanding Polish architect Adolf Szyszko Bohusz, gave him a look that resembles a medieval castle. Currently, it serves as the holiday residence of the Presidents of the Republic of Poland.
